Testing Services

Pathways to Healing offers a variety of testing services that help assess health and allow us to customize a treatment plan based on your body’s unique needs.  Specifically, we offer:

Adrenal Stress Index
Detects various bio-chemical imbalances, often times many months earlier than traditional blood work.  Also assesses cortisol levels, stress response and adrenal function, insulin sensitivity and gluten antibodies to determine grain intolerance.

Aqueous Zinc (Zinc Taste Test)
Assesses zinc levels.  Zinc deficiency can result in numerous conditions including loss of appetite, depression, increased allergic sensitivity, hyperactivity and a host of auto-immune diseases.

Bloodspot Fatty Acid Profile
Measures levels of trans fatty acids, as well as omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acid balance.

Estronex 2/16 OH Ratio
Assesses a woman’s risk for developing breast cancer.

Female Hormone Panel
Assesses hormonal imbalances that could be resulting in a variety of conditions including irregular or severe periods, PMS, fatigue, food cravings, hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, weight gain, depression, anxiety or insomnia.

GI Test Kit
Tests for parasites and other digestive problems that are affecting overall health.

Hair Analysis
A type of tissue biopsy where the hair is assessed for several key nutritional minerals.  Alerts a doctor to signs of potential health problems by offering valuable insight into how the body is functioning.  Specifically, can measure metabolic rate, stage of stress, immune function, adrenal activity, thyroid activity, hormonal imbalances, cardiovascular risk, digestive health, carbohydrate/sugar handling, protein intake and usage, toxic metal levels and nutritional imbalances.

Bloodspot IgG Food Antibodies/Food Allergy Test
A non-invasive alternative to a blood draw that determines IgG food reactions.

PH Strips (Nitrizene)
Measures the level of acidity in the body.  Excess acidity has been linked with virtually all degenerative diseases including cancer, heart disease, arthritis, osteoporosis, kidney stones, gall stones and tooth decay.

Urine Iodine Loading Test and Toxin Scan
Measures the body’s iodine absorption rate – an important indicator of thyroid health.  Also includes a toxin scan for common thyroid antagonists.

Vitamin D, 25-OH
Most accurate method for measuring Vitamin D levels in the body.  Recent research indicates Vitamin D deficiency as playing a role in a host of health problems, including asthma, cancer and cardiovascular disease.

If you feel one of these tests could help you, please discuss it with one of our doctors.
